Most of the work done by solicitors involves non-contentious matters, such as conveyancing and dealing with wills. But a solicitor's training includes contentious cases involving litigation and other types of dispute resolution. The qualifying examinations are designed to assess a whole range of legal knowledge and skills.
In this section of the video, Ms. Pooley is describing the second assessment, SQE2, which candidates can only enter if they have already successfully taken the SQE1.
